Putting for Peanuts

OKS Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides funding for the manufacture and distribution of peanut butter based food for treatment of malnourished children in Kenya.

Since 2012 we have helped hundreds of families in areas of marginalized populations in western Kenya. We are committed to our model of local production using local resources and workers to provide this life saving treatment within their own communities. Not only does this model save lives, but it offers employment opportunities for Kenyans and a consistent market for local farmers growing peanuts and sugarcane.

The expansion of our programs is currently funded only by private donations. While grants are available for large scale manufacturers of the same product worldwide, their distribution is targeted for areas of humanitarian crisis, rarely reaching populations that are chronically underserved and leaving small scale farmers and local workers behind.

Donations to OKS Inc are powerful. Not only does 100% of the money go to our operations in Kenya, but the value is dramatically increased by much lower labor and raw material costs.
